This is an ongoing project which started as an exploration to discover methods of a non-hierarchic multi-disciplinary collaboration.
It is a game of chance using the weekly 4-digit lottery numbers drawn by the Singapore Pools as the life-source of the project. A simple 4-digit combination that excites millions of players each week. And upon this unexpected probability, we seek to triple the fortuity at play.
This is a collaborative work that stems from the interpretations of 0 to 9 by various artists, that is, what each number represents to each individual is totally unique.
A multi-layered chance operation formulated by numbers. To start off, we are inviting the public to participate in this game by picking the number interpretations with the ‘Combination Churner’ based on the 4-digit weekly Sunday results from Singapore Pools. These 4-digit combinations will form a unique narrative and each weekly combination can have many variants. The players are to paste their 4-digit narrative on a postcard provided and send it back to us. And once collected, these variants will go through another layer of interpretation to form a collective narrative.
