-the first narrative kinda reminded me of Narkata, a character from murakami’s kakfa on the shore:)
a 70 year old man was lost and could only his way through the help of the 5th mayday book. The book provided the answer that there were 8 directions that could lead him to his destination. In accordance to the book, together with the bright moonlight , it narrows down the search to 2 points. One, to freedom. The other,to no return.
